The 2007 Cannonau di Sardegna is an impeccably elegant wine laced with ripe, juicy cherries, freshly cut roses, sweet herbs and spices. The silkiness and sheer finesse of the tannins is remarkable, while the wine’s overall balance is superb. This mid-weight, graceful yet vivid Cannonau should continue to drink well for at least a few years. If anything, it might benefit from another year or two in bottle.
