Another sleeper of the vintage from an unclassified growth in Pauillac, this wine is made by the same folks that turn out the great Pichon Longueville Baron. It exhibits a deep ruby/purple color and sweet, classic nose of creme de cassis, licorice and barbecue smoke. The wine is medium-bodied, shows an abundance of fruit, soft silky light tannins and just enough acidity to provide vibrancy and definition. Drink it over the next 6-9 years.
