Slightly bigger, more muscular, and richer than the 2003, is the 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain. A sweet perfume of black currants, smoke, cedar, tobacco, and subtle toasty oak is followed by a firmly structured, medium to full-bodied, moderately tannic, well-made Cabernet. The vineyard is directly across from Diamond Creek’s, just a short walk, but with different soils and exposures.
