The 2004 Barricas was aged for 12 months in 33% new French oak. Dark ruby-colored, it delivers a nose of cedar, leather, earth, and blackberry. This leads to a ripe, firmly structured wine with ample spicy black fruit flavors, a chewy texture, and 3-5 years of aging potential. It should drink well through 2020.
