The 2009 "The Moonlight Run" is a blend of 54% Grenache, 24% Shiraz, 16% Mataro and 6% Cinsault, coming from vineyards ranging from 85 to 160 yrs old. Deep garnet colored with a hint of purple, it displays aromas of warm black raspberries, mulberries, cinnamon stick, white pepper, orange peel and potpourri. Full-bodied and packed with warm berry and spice flavor layers, it has a medium level of velvety tannins, medium-high acid and a long, spicy finish. Delicious now, it should cellar to 2018+.
