A top-notch value in a complex blend, the 2004 Moonlight Run is a combination of 60% Grenache, 20% Shiraz, 15% Mourvedre, and 5% Cinsault, all from 85- to 100-year-old vineyards. A smoky, creme de cassis, new saddle leather, pepper, garrigue, and cherry and black raspberry-scented perfume is followed by a medium- to full-bodied, rich wine with firm tannin. It will be even better with 1-2 years of bottle age, and should keep for 7-8 years.
