The 2004 Barolo Preda Sarmassa reveals dark fruit, herbs, tobacco and spices on a medium-bodied frame. The wine possesses notable density and persistence, yet the tannins are unusually coarse, particularly within the context of this vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2019.
