A tight, slightly compressed wine, the ruby-colored 2001 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuees, reveals appealing stony red fruit aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, it has an excellent to outstanding, satin-textured attack prior to its abrupt finish. The score will appear overly conservative if this effort fleshes out as it completes elevage.
