Jolivet's golden-yellow colored 2017 Sancerre offers a stunningly deep, dense and tight bouquet of crushed stones, herbs and concentrated fruit aromas intermixed with refreshing and brightening floral and mineral notes. On the palate, this is an intensely fruity, mouth-filling and densely textured Sancerre with smooth acidity but lingering mineral grip on the quite powerful finish with candied citrus fruit aromas. Pretty matured already, the wine should be consumed in the next 4-6 years. Tasted in January 2021.
