The medium straw-colored 2006 Coma Blanca is a blend of 60% Garnacha Blanca and 40% Macabeo aged for six months in French oak with full malolactic fermentation. Aromas of mineral, smoke, baking spices, and melon jump from the glass. Creamy, ripe, and concentrated, this lengthy effort will drink well for at least four years and is reminiscent of Chateau Beaucastel Vieilles Vignes.
