The 2016 Chianti Colli Senesi (90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot) is a lean, mid-weight red wine that offers a simple yet highly fruit-driven bouquet. You get tones of dried cherry, raspberry, bitter almond and grilled herb. The wine offers freshness and a simple but also highly accessible delivery. This vintage feels tighter and more rigid compared to the warm 2015 edition. Bottle production is large with 250,000 units made.
