The 2014 Ladoix le Clou d'Orge has quite an opulent bouquet in the context of the vintage, with its light brush of clear honey, a hint of acacia and white flowers. It is a very comely nose. The palate is well balanced on the entry with orange zest and a dash of spice, perhaps not quite as nuanced as the Fixin Clos Moreau, but with plenty of vibrant, tropical-tinged fruit on the finish. Drink over the next 4-6 years.
