My scores may turn out to be somewhat conservative for this yummy, succulent, gorgeously proportioned Barolo. The 1993 Barolo offers a fragrant nose of jammy strawberry fruit intermixed with spice, fruitcake, and a Viognier-like peach/apricot note of over-ripeness. Cherry-like flavors are evident in this medium-bodied, intensely perfumed, sweet, quintessentially elegant and seductive wine. It is too delicious to resist, so consume it over the next 5-7 years.
