(46% cabernet sauvignon, 33% shiraz, 15% merlot and 6% cabernet franc): Good dark red. Musky aromas and flavors of red- and blackcurrant, black cherry, menthol and licorice, plus suggestions of coffee and mocha. Bright acidity gives cut and energy, not to mention immediate appeal, to the moderately deep middle palate. Finishes with a touch of herbal bitterness but the tannins are fairly light.
