Last of the 2013s, the Chateauneuf du Pape Empire is the best of the three and has beautiful concentration and depth. Made from 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah that was aged half in demi-muid and half in concrete tank, it offers layers of dark berry fruits, ground pepper, smoked earth and wet-stone-like minerality. This medium to full-bodied, ripe and layered effort will have over a decade of longevity.
