The 2010 Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico is a delicious expression that represents a slightly finer and more focused style that you will see repeated in the vintages that follow this release. In fact, this vintage marks a subtle departure in which the inner elegance of the Frappato di Vittoria grape is underlined and given more room for expression. The wine shows a bright level of sweetness with fresh cherry and blackberry flavors. The 2010 vintage will be remembered for the vibrancy of its color and the finesse it shows in the mouth. New York City consumes some 50,000 bottles of COS wine per year and one-third of the winery's total production is sold in the United States. COS and the USA share a special affinity.

Complex layers of salumi, forest floor and spice box lead off in this medium-bodied red, as firm tannins settle around the pure cherry and currant fruit. Needs time in the cellar, but the long, minerally finish shows potential.
