The 2004 Vina Pedrosa Reserva exhibits a more expansive, complex aromatic display including floral elements, black cherry, and blackberry liqueur. This is followed by a firm, full-bodied wine with oak, tannin, and acidity beautifully integrated. The wine has superb depth and concentration as well as layers of spicy black fruit flavors. It will evolve for another 5-7 years and provide pleasure through 2025. As a side note, the 2001 Vina Pedrosa Gran Reserva was austere, ungiving, and needs to be retasted.Importer: Christopher Cannan, Europvin; www.vinapedrosa.com
