Next to the Fiano Ventidue that comes from tufo-rich volcanic soils, the Villa Raiano 2018 Fiano di Avellino Alimata sources its grapes from slightly richer clay marl soils in the forested Bosco Alimata vineyard instead. These results show more tropical tones with green apple and papaya. Otherwise, winemaking is the same for the two wines, with 12 months of aging on the fine lees in steel vats. Only 3,300 bottles of this vintage were produced.
