The 2015 Fiano di Avellino Alimata is made according to a similar method as the Fiano di Avellino Ventidue, although vine age and vineyard soils are different. This wine is sourced from older vines (26 years old) with more compact marlstone clay soils. The Alimata comes from white tufa limestone soils. The mineral signature appears stronger and with more definition in this wine. This Fiano washes over the palate with freshness, volume and fruity texture. Some 6,700 bottles were made.
