The 2008 Moscato Rosa Praepositus is a beautiful dessert wine laced with sweet candied cherries, flowers, herbs and spices. Medium in body, this tasty, somewhat ethereal wine reveals plenty of length and a harmonious, convincing finish. This is a gorgeous red dessert wine from Alto Adige. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2013. Abbazia di Novacella is an excellent source for wines from Alto Adige loaded with varietal character. The entry-level whites (in the Alsatian-style bottles) are aged in steel.
