Fresh cherry, apple, and honeysuckle in the nose of von Kunow's 2009 Oberemmeler Hutte Riesling Kabinett make their palate appearance with lush, caressing, levitating liquidity, giving an impression, backed by prominent sweetness, that I deem more Spatlese-like. Hints of fresh lime, its rind, and tart apple skin offer some push-back to the residual sugar, but this Riesling of lovely purity and delicacy is nevertheless one for those with a sweet tooth – or willing to wait for a decade or so to drink it.
