A top effort, the 2002 Gaia, a proprietary Bordeaux blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Merlot, possesses a deep ruby/purple color, an elegant bouquet of sweet cherries, black currants, olives, earth, and background wood, lovely richness, and a lean, austere finish.
