The exceptional 1998 Gaia, a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Merlot, all aged in French oak, is a full-bodied, classy Australian red that emulates Bordeaux yet possesses Australia's renowned ripeness. This full-bodied effort possesses terrific purity, sweet black currant, tobacco, spice box, cedar, and vanilla, beautifully integrated acidity, and a long, promising finish.
