The 2005 Nerobaronj is a beautifully expressive wine, with all of the typical perfumes aromas of Nero d’Avola on full display. The wine possesses notable transparency in its dark plums, spices, flowers, mint and chocolate, with superb length and a long, polished finish. This is a great effort from Gulfi. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2018. Gulfi is one of my favorite producers of fine Nero d’Avola.
