Coppo’s 2009 Barbera d’Asti Camp du Rouss sits on the razors’ edge of overripeness. There is plenty of richness in the wine’s dark fruit, but the aromas and flavors are already oxidized, and the wine’s structure is flabby. Both bottles I tasted were equally disappointing.
