Long-Depaquit’s 2010 Chablis Les Clos blossoms on the palate. It possesses terrific length and good overall balance. Floral notes appear on the finish, adding lift and perfume. The Clos is a pretty wine, but what really comes through most is the house style rather than a pure expression of site. Anticipated maturity: 2012+.
These 2010s from Long-Depaquit are attractive and well made, but they lack the excitement and visceral thrill that defines the vintage. The wines are also very similar to each other, with little differentiation of site, a shame considering the notion of terroir is the most fundamental concept in Burgundy.
