Laurent's top 1993s are massively concentrated, huge, intense wines that will require 8-10 years of cellaring. There are several wines from the Cote de Beaune that merit significant interest. The Savigny Les Beaune Serpentieres reveals good ripeness, and gorgeously pure red fruits displayed in a muscular, moderately tannic, structured format with a steely framework that suggests 5-6 years of cellaring is essential.
