The 2011 Barolo Bricco Ambrogio offers a more accessible and immediate approach with aromas of dried fruit, exotic spice, savory tobacco and leather. This wine ages in a combination of large oak casks and tonneaux for two years. However, this warm vintage lacks the tangy freshness you get in cooler years. The alcohol is recorded at 15% and you do feel it. Some 7,600 bottles were made.
