Produced from vines harvested at 15% natural potential alcohol, the 2003 Gevrey-Chambertin Au Velle boasts a nose of intensely aromatic candied blackberries. Thick, medium to full-bodied, and chunky, this velvety-textured wine is densely-packed with red as well as black cherries. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2013.
