The 1995 Cotes du Rhone red is primarily a Grenache-based wine with 30% Syrah in the blend. The wine reveals super-ripe, rich, peppery, black-raspberry and cherry fruit. Uncomplicated, but fleshy and medium to full-bodied, this is a mouthfilling, gutsy Cotes du Rhone that will provide fine drinking over the next 3-4 years.
This wine was tasted between June 1 and June 16, 1996.
This estate continues to upgrade the quality of its wines. Releases in the nineties have all been highly successful, even in such difficult vintages as 1992.
