A creative melange of 42% Syrah, 37% Grenache, and 21% Mourvedre, the superb 2003 Rising Tides possesses a deep ruby/purple color, a sweet, ripe nose of black raspberries, kirsch, licorice, and subtle oak, high tannin, medium to full body, and beautiful purity. It requires another 1-2 years of bottle age, and should last for a decade. As I have written over the last several years, Linne Calodo is a name to take seriously as it represents a reference point for what can be achieved in California’s Central Coast.Tel. (805) 227-0797
