The dark ruby/garnet-colored 1995 Brunello di Montalcino displays a spice box, cedar, damp forest, soy, red currant, and cherry-scented nose, but comes across as a bit austere, angular, and excessively structured for its concentration level. It should drink well for 7-8 years, but the tannin level is worrisome vis a vis the wine's concentration. Importer: Vias Imports, New York, NY; tel. (212) 629-0200
