Another terrific offering from Calera, the huge, honeyed nose displays fabulous ripeness and copious quantities of rich, creamy, apple-like fruit. This full-bodied wine possesses a voluptuous texture, fabulous depth, and a deep, long, lusty finish. It is a Chardonnay for hedonists! Drink it over the next 1-2 years. Readers should keep in mind that this is not Calera's top of the line Chardonnay, which has a Mount Harlan designation. I can only imagine how stunning the 1991 must be.
