The 2012 Damana 5 is pure Tempranillo from a warm vintage. It shows aromas of ripe plums, hints of violets and enough spicy notes from the barrel. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a lush, dense texture, too much for an entry level wine, but very pleasant nevertheless, and even more so, if paired with roasted lamb. 220,000 bottles produced. Drink 2014-2017. Tabula was created in 2002. They work vineyards in Olivares de Duero in the province of Valladolid where they are located, and also in Roa and La Horra in Burgos.
