The 2000 Trilogy, a dense ruby/purple-colored blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 7% Malbec, and 8% Cabernet Franc, exhibits notes of cedar, licorice, black currants, and herbs. When this wine was first produced it was a blend of three Bordeaux varietals, but longtime winemaker Ken Deis has since expanded his palate. This year’s version is mainly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with some Cabernet Franc and Malbec.
