The 2008 Trossos Tros Negre exhibits a more elegant personality and a slightly more expressive perfume. However, it is a dense effort that will also reward several years of cellaring, Its drinking window will extend from 2014 to 2023, perhaps longer. There are no role models of longevity for these massive Priorats as there are in Bordeaux or Rioja so my timeline involves speculation and extrapolation based on experience and the precision balance that this wine is revealing now.
