The 1988 Barolo-Bussia is closed. With airing, aromas of game-like smoked meat, tar, and dusty fruit emerge. There is excellent richness, a beautiful black cherry fruitiness, and an elegant, pure, stylish finish. This is not blockbuster Barolo, but a medium weight wine. It should drink well for 12-15 years. Importer: a Marc de Grazia Selection, Michael Skurnick Wines, Westbury, NY.
