The 2004 Santa Rosa Reserva is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah, and 15% Merlot aged for 17 months in seasoned French and American barriques. Purple-colored with an enticing bouquet of balsam wood, violets, incense, blackberry compote, and chocolate, on the palate it is full-bodied, dense, supple-textured, rich, and well-balanced. It has enough structure to blossom for another 2-3 years and will be at its best from 2012 to 2019.
Bodegas Enrique Mendoza was founded in 1989.
