A good value is the 1999 Shiraz Alliance. Moreover, there are 4,900 cases of this excellent wine that exhibits deep purple color, plenty of spicy, toasty new American oak in the nose, a chewy, fleshy texture, and open-knit, expansive flavors that coat the palate. It is not complex, nor will it be particularly long-lived, but for drinking over the next 7-8 years, there is a lot to like.
