The Bordeaux-like 2002 Shiraz is a blend of 92% Shiraz, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Malbec, and 1% Merlot aged in French and American wood for 16 months, 55% of which was new. A deep black currant, earth, licorice, and spice box-scented bouquet is followed by a pretty, medium-bodied, pure red with an attractive texture as well as a surprisingly long, lightly tannic finish.
