Pale to medium ruby, the 2015 Pinot Noir Cargasacchi Vineyard has gorgeous aromas of gravel dust, rose petal and orange oil with notes of dusty earth, cracked pepper and prosciutto plus tons of latent fruit at the core: wild blackberries, black raspberries, warm raspberries, blueberries and black and red cherries. I could just go on and on smelling this. The light to medium-bodied palate is silky and saline, very slowly segueing to spicy, briary black fruits and smoky tinges, with a frame of chewy tannins and juicy acidity, finishing very long and very spicy with tons of energy.
