Pale ruby-purple colored, the 2014 Pinot Noir Cargasacchi Vineyard offers up fragrant lavender, Provence herbs and damp earth scents over a core of Bing cherries and wild strawberries with hints of tree sap and cinnamon stick. The medium-bodied palate gives a solid frame of grainy/chewy tannins and lively acid, backing up the intense red berry and earthy layers nicely, finishing with great persistence. Give it another year for the apparent stem inclusion to marry-in and drink it over the next ten years+.
