There may not be a better dry white wine of such quality than the 2001 Vega Sindoa Chardonnay/Viura (25% of the former and 75% of the latter, although it tastes as if there were some Riesling or Viognier in the blend). The wine offers notes of peaches, honeysuckle, and apricots in its flamboyant, nearly kinky aromatics. It is a tank-fermented and aged, richly fruity, medium-bodied effort to enjoy over the next year. There are 8,000 cases for the USA market.
This estate, perennially chosen as producing some of the world's greatest wine values, Bodegas Nekeas has fashioned this wine that must be tasted to be believed.
