The two premiers crus from Beaune are both medium-bodied, elegant wines with supple fruitiness, opulent textures, ripe tannins, and low acidity. The 1990 Beaune-Epenottes is slightly more concentrated than the 1990 Beaune-Clos du Roi.Jean Boillot's red burgundies offer attractive richness, good structure, a generous lashing of toasty new oak, and 5-8 years of longevity.
