A pure expression of Sangiovese, the 2007 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Vigneto Poggio Sant'Enrico is a gorgeous wine that hits all the right sensorial buttons. This wine is released much later than its peers. It opens to a dark, impenetrable appearance with little light penetration. The bouquet is seamless and sophisticated with dark fruit, plum, dried cherry, spice, tobacco and licorice in generous doses. A smooth, velvety texture characterizes the mouthfeel.
