The 1999 Barolo Cannubi, a deep garnet, shows excellent kirsch fruit, spice, florals, and resin on the nose. It is rich and focused on the palate, well concentrated and with much depth, unusually powerful for a wine of this vineyard but with much ripe fruit, supple tannins, and a sweet tar and chocolate finish.
