The 1990 Nebbiolo d'Alba-Val Preti was made from yields of 2 tons per acre and aged in 100% new oak. The wine's 14% alcohol is buried under a cascade of lavishly rich, sweet tasting (the wine is totally dry) black-cherry an plum fruit. Combined with the sexy aromas of toast, vanillin it makes for an exceptionally well-delineated, rich, full-bodied, spectacularly well-endowed wine that should drink well for another 10-15 years.
