The estate’s 2005 Valtellina Superiore Inferno Mazer possesses an additional layer of inner sweetness next to the Le Tense. This 100% Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) reveals notable clarity and detail in its dark red varietal fruit, with lovely length and purity. It comes across as more delicate and feminine in style than the other Valtellina Superiores in this lineup. The Mazer was aged in a combination of French oak barrels and larger casks.
