Composed of 47% Grenache Blanc, 39% Viognier and 14% Roussanne, the 2016 Epoch White opens with lovely floral notes of honeysuckle and orange blossom over a core of poached pears, preserved lemons and allspice. Medium to full-bodied and dry, with a pleasant suggestion of oiliness to the texture and a lively backbone lifting the spicy stone fruit and pear flavors, it finishes on a lingering white pepper note. Drinking deliciously now, it should age beautifully over the next six to eight years.
