The 2008 Chardonnay Ashley’s Vineyard is superb. Light straw/greenish gold in color, with a sweet nose of white currants, honeysuckle, orange blossoms, and tropical fruit, the wine has excellent acidity, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and impressive purity, texture, and length. It should drink nicely for 5-6 years. Given the recent death of Fess Parker, it was emotional to taste through his wines.
